Searching for Sicily: Road to Montalbano

Road to Montalbano

After an exhastive checkout process and re-pack of the van, the group bid farewell to the Grand Hotel Wagner and set off towards Montalbano. It was going to be a 3 hour drive, and it would pass by possibly the most famous beach town in Sicily: Céfalu. Since none of the group had ever been in the Tyrrhenian Sea, they agreed to stop in Céfalu and dip their feet.

According to Google Maps, it looked very easy to detour off the highway to the public beach, dip feet, then get back on track. Once again, Google Maps and Sicily do not mix, but the lesson was not learned the previous day!
